Whatever the causes, and there are many, the housing shortage is without doubt the biggest issue currently facing governments of all levels.

Today,  the crisis was front and centre in NSW, when the state Government sat down with stakeholders to discuss ways of boosting housing supply in the country’s most populous state.

Housing Now - an alliance of business groups, unions, local government and the tertiary sector - is calling for the establishment of a state housing coordinator, as a way of overcoming some of the barriers that are currently hampering supply.
