For the last 15 years Cleantech Scandinavia has been running an international network for investors and startups in the field of Nordic & Baltic Cleantech. They have been providing their members with investment opportunities, business intelligence and brand profiling on the Nordic market.

 

On top of that they host the renowned Nordic Startup competition – Nordic Cleantech Open. Every year they identify the 25 most innovative seed-stage cleantech start-ups. For eleven years the competition has served as an observation tower for the hottest up & coming cleantech innovation trends. Cleantech Scandinavia is also pushing development of climate neutral cities, climate impact assessments and other areas important to accelerate innovation within Cleantech.

 

We had the privilege to have an inspiring conversation with one of their stars: Magnus Agerström. Magnus co-founded Cleantech Scandinavia in 2007. Before that he co-founded sustainability consulting & software company Natlikan Sustainability where he was Managing Director for many years and from which he made a successful exit in 2011. He is convinced that the way we use our economic system will have to be reformed in order to overcome sustainability challenges ahead.
