Is it possible to have joy when life isn’t going my way? It depends—on what kind of joy you’re holding onto. The world offers filtered joy that fades fast. But the Holy Spirit gives unquenchable joy—a kind that’s stronger than circumstances and steady through every storm.

In Romans 14:13–19, we see that real joy is fueled by the Spirit, found in God’s presence, and fixed on His promises. The Helper gives joy that can’t be stolen, transforms our suffering, and fills us with lasting strength. Even in pain, you can still choose joy.
