It is important that you be very careful HOW you hear, not just WHAT you hear. We can’t always control what we hear. We live in the noisiest of times, exposed to a cacophony of opinions. It can be overwhelming, especially when we give EVERY voice an EQUAL voice. Why do we give MORE weight to what people say, and LESS to what God says? Scripture teaches us, that if we walk with the wise, we will be wise. Just because something is LOUD, doesn’t mean that it is RIGHT. Ignorance can be loud. Sickness can be loud. Stress can be loud. Financial burdens can be loud. A loud lie doesn’t make something true. The latest information seems to be the loudest, because of its proximity, just like the closest object appears to be the biggest. Nowhere in scripture does God ever say, that He will have the LOUDEST word, but it does say that He will have the LAST word. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is the first and the last. HE WILL HAVE THE LAST WORD. Perhaps we need to discover, what He has to say. He has after all, given us His Word.
