STOCKS TO WATCH: $GOOGL $XPEV $ANET $MGM $WINTAlphabet (GOOGL) - The company will report quarterly results next week on Tuesday after market close. Alphabet will kick off (along with Microsoft (MSFT), also on Tuesday afternoon) big tech earnings next week. Other big tech companies reporting next week include Meta Platforms (META), eBay (EBAY), Amazon (AMZN) and Intel (INTC).
XPeng (XPEV) - Shares were down about 3% Thursday morning following a disappointing quarterly report from electric vehicle peer Tesla (TSLA).
Arista Networks (ANET) - A peer play following a weak earnings report out of peer in the networking space, F5 Networks (FFIV). While shares of F5 were down about 7%, Arista shares were down nearly 3%.
MGM Resorts (MGM) - Casino stocks outperformed the broader stock market handily Thursday morning following a strong quarterly report out of MGM competitor Las Vegas Sands (LVS). MGM will report quarterly results on Monday, May 1.
Windtree Therapeutics (WINT) - A play on a key technical level breaking down. Shares of Windtree fell about 16% on Wednesday following news the company's Chair would resign from the Board. Late Wednesday evening, shares fell through a notable support level just over the $5 level. The stock continued sharply lower following the breach of that level; shares were down more than 60% Thursday morning.
