A look back when I attended a writers' conference.

"Studying God’s Word has become very important in my life. I have talked on this program about the challenges I had in opening my Bible and my struggles to understand what it said.

Since it has become routine in my life it is hard to recall when I didn’t have a daily reading. This past week I attended a Christian writers’ conference, called Write!Canada. In order to stay calm and focused I knew I had to continue to be in The Word.

This turned out to be more difficult than ever. We share rooms when we attend these conferences. I arose early for prayer time. This did not allow me time for personal reflection of the Bible. Thankfully our prayer leader read a passage each morning with a reflection. And we were blessed with a worship time as well where the leader read Scripture and reflected on its meaning."
