We all have a past, no matter who you are, what you have, where you live or who you know; you have a past. You have a past; good, bad, or indifferent. As you begin to let go of the past, here are some things you need to do and not do:
Don’ts:
(1). Don’t repress your past feelings.
(2). Don’t avoid your feelings.
(3). Don’t try to change your past.
Do’s:
(1). Detach your emotions from your past.
(2). Take control of your thoughts.
(3). Get away from the “what-if’s.”
(4). Learn some lessons from the event.
(5). Focus on the positives that came out of your past negatives.
(6). Learn how to forgive.
(7). Learn to live in the present.
(8). Create physical distance.
(9). Be gentle with yourself.
(10). Accept that the other person may not apologize.
(11). Surround yourself with people who complete you.
