Narrator was amazing, story was amazing. I absolutely loved it and I can't wait for book 2. this author just went on my one-click list.

Pretty bland

I liked this audiobook story okay, but can't say I loved it. Parts of it felt really slow and I found the characters hard to relate to. The narration was done well, the story just didn't make the goal (pun intended). More emotion needed to be written between the hero and the heroine. Also, the male narrator only appeared for a short time.

Jude ~ One Sexy, Hot, Cocky Fighter!

I loved Jude from book one! His character was care-free, upbeat, happy and just fun to listen too. When I noticed his story was out in audio, I had to snatch it up! WOW! I loved how his character became this sexy, hot alpha with a slightly dominate side, and jealous strike, it made some of the sex scenes hot! Really HOT!

Possible Spoilers;

Jude's story was steamy, with some great sex scenes; however, I felt the plot was more on the YA lines. Jude is an up and coming MMA fighter in his early 20's. He makes a deal with his coach to secretly ask his coach's 18 year old daughter, Sadie, to her prom. Sadie's had a secrete crush on Jude and was excited when he asked her out to the prom. She put a lot of effort into looking good prom night, and gained confidence from her transformation, but some of her actions were really immature. This is where I thought Lane Hart did a great job with Sadie's character. Sadie and her actions were a good representation of an 18 year old about to graduate. She wasn't this 18 year old living on her own, working two jobs to support herself, but rather just a normal girl interested in looking good, wanting to party and hangout with her friends and date the guy she's had a crush on. However, Sadie also had a really immature side and made bad decisions, especially when she was trying to make Jude jealous by flirting with other guys. There was no cheating; however, Sadie was just about willing to do anything to make Jude jealous. These actions were immature, and felt like something a teenager would do.

I know this is only book two; however, I had change in narrator blues. Aaron Shedlock narrated book one and Patrick Blackthorne narrated book two and honestly they both did a great job. It's just Jude's character had a lot of dialogue in book one, and I was used to how Aaron portrayed Jude's character. When Patrick actually narrated his story, it almost felt like two completely different characters because of the different narrator styles.

Loved this but the ending was a disappointment

I really liked this book all the way through. The build up towards the end was great but then I found myself being disappointed in the ending. It was anti-climactic. I was waiting for things to happen but they never did.....disappointed.

male narrator sounded horrible !

Don't waste a credit, the male narrator really made it a lot more difficult to finish the book. He sounded like a senior citizen over the age of 65 pretending to be a 20 something year old male, it really was horrible kind of creepy but the female narrator did very good job I just wish she could have continue the entire story on her own

Love it!

I love how we got to hear Tyler's POV . With some action and sexy time makes it the best so far..

in my opinion, zach webber could read a phone book and I'd be interested but the female narrator of this book was AWFUL!!!! I had to struggle to even finish it.

Cute but...

Sort of a heavy underlying subject for such a short book. If the author wanted to stick with a FSOG twist, she shouldve put more emotion & full disclosure into the convo between the main characters. Also- the insta love was stupid and unnecessary for such a short story. Lastly, the mom/friend issue was pointless.

Loved Zachary Webbers voice...thats the only reason why I got this book. That and bcz it was in the Romance Package lol!! The female narrator sorta made my head hurt due to the whine in her voice.

Enjoy the Men of Lake Tahoe

If you are listening to the Men of Lake Tahoe, this is a must get. Even though it has some slow spots, it moves the series a long nicely. As with the other books in this series, the characters are damaged which prevents them from truly being together for 3/4 of the book. Overall this is a 4 star. Fun to listen to but somehow lacks some depth in delivering the emotional elements. Some suthors jyst do a little better wth this. I'm not sure why, but I think some of the emotional dialog feels a bit rushed. For example. Mia never has a big conversation with Tyler discussing how hurt she was that people, including Tyler believed thst she slept around in high school. When in truth she was a virgin up until Tyler. This was a critical point to the story, because it led to a negative chain reaction for many years for both Miua and Tyler. This part and some of the love scenes felt rushed in order to focus more on the criminal aspect of Casino Blue, Mia's mother and setting up for the next book. Still, this was a good book to listen to. As for the narrator's, Zachary Webber is always a 5 plus stars and CJ Bloom is good in her own voice, but struggles a bit with alternative voices. Yet. I enjoyed her enough in this audio. She is not the power house of Andi Arndt, but Andi can't read every book.

Love this book!

This book is amazing! I love the story line and the characters make it believable. Even though it is a tear jerker, it's definitely read worthy. This is my second time reading it and I know I will continue to reread it.

emotional roller coaster!

This was not my typical book, however it now may be one of my favorites. This made me cry. Tears of sadnees and of joy!!

breathtaking and heartbreaking

This was a beautifully written, we'll developed story about love, loss, encouragement, and redefinement. All the feels went into this story surrounding life-changing moments, tears, laugher, and endearments. I loved this book.
