Title: The Children That Time Forgot

    Author: Peter Harrison, Mary Harrison

    Narrator: Sandra Garston

    Format: Unabridged

Length: 6 hrs and 50 mins

    Language: English

    Release date: 11-22-16

    Publisher: Philip R Harrison

    Genres: Nonfiction, Unexplained Phenomena

    Summary:

The original idea came to co-author Mary Harrison when she observed her youngest son, Leon, trying to pick flowers from a floral pattern on her bed cover. The infant's actions seemed so quirky and amusing that Mary was prompted to write a letter to Woman's Own magazine which was subsequently published. Mary asked if other mothers had experiences similar "odd" moments with their little ones. The word "odd" was the keyword that triggered an amazing reaction, and Mary, whose address had been published with her letter, was overwhelmed with letters from parents reporting accounts of reincarnation. From this, the idea for the book The Children that Time Forgot was born.

Mary and Peter Harrison spent over a year thoroughly researching leads. The anecdotes and stories developed organically as they gathered new evidence and established facts. Amongst the 30 fascinating accounts they unearthed, one story features a young girl from the north of England, so young she had not travelled outside of England before and was too young to read, yet she recounted, with chilling accuracy, visiting her grandmother in Dundee on the fateful night in 1879 her train was swept away when the Tay Bridge collapsed. Cynics would of course be quick to question the validity of such a story, but when the girl's family recollections were checked out, eyewitness accounts of the family she described, events leading to it, and records matched up.

The book's primary aim is to present children's stories in a neutral, non-judgmental way and let the listener decide. All the stories are spontaneous and all contributors offered their stories voluntarily.

    Release date: 11-22-16

    Publisher: Blackstone Audio, Inc.

    Genres: Nonfiction, World Affairs

    Summary:

Given how quickly its operations have achieved global impact, it may seem that the Islamic State materialized suddenly. In fact, al-Qaeda's operations chief, Sayf al-Adl, devised a seven-stage plan for jihadis to conquer the world by 2020 that included reestablishing the Caliphate in Syria between 2013 and 2016. Despite a massive schism between the Islamic State and al-Qaeda, al-Adl's plan has proved remarkably prescient. In summer 2014, ISIS declared itself the Caliphate after capturing Mosul, Iraq - part of stage five in al-Adl's plan. Drawing on large troves of recently declassified documents captured from the Islamic State and its predecessors, counterterrorism expert Brian Fishman tells the story of this organization's complex and largely hidden past - and what the master plan suggests about its future. Only by understanding the Islamic State's full history - and the strategy that drove it - can we understand the contradictions that may ultimately tear it apart.

    Summary:

Most people are in agreement that when we die, we hope that our spirits, our very souls, will carry on to a better place, beyond human comprehension. This mentality, this desire, has been a basic belief of mankind for thousands upon thousands of years. And yet, if this is true, then why are certain places riddled with spirits?

While hundreds of people die every single day, most of them do not fit into this established criterion. But when one considers the often unsanitary, unprofessional and inhumane practices that were often commonplace in insane asylums, hospitals and orphanages during the 19th and 20th centuries, it is actually quite easy to understand why so many of these facilities are now considered to be riddled with paranormal activity.

From disembodied voices, to full-fledged apparitions, the orphanages, psychiatric hospitals and insane asylums listed in this book all have one thing in common: a dark history.

Come explore the dark corners of these places. Once you do, you'll know why so many tormented souls still linger amidst their abandoned halls.

    Summary:

The general notion is that celebrities are no ordinary people. They are a pedestal higher than the average human being, widely known and celebrated for their immense talents and innumerable, unmatched achievements in various fields, ranging from sports to entertainment to business and so on. We adore them, and envy their wealth, beauty, intelligence, dexterity, strength, and fame. We pattern our lives after theirs, looking up to them as role models. Perfect beings who can do no wrong. Until we hear news of their wrongdoings from the media. Often times, we are shocked either because of the caliber of the person involved, or the nature and gravity of the offense involved. How can such a person do such a thing?

The shock and disappointment we feel emanates from the fact we have never considered the fact that celebrities are actually human beings like us and although they possess a plethora of strengths, they also have their moral conflicts, personal challenges, and equally possess weaknesses, ranging from short tempers to alcohol and drug addiction to lust and even greed. The list goes on.

We never really know these people. Being a celebrity often leads to people holding false or exaggerated opinions about them, perhaps because of the kind of movie roles they act, or their good-naturedness at public functions. Being in the limelight often blinds the world to who celebrities are. And when their real personality is revealed, we end up being shocked.

So yes, celebrities have flaws, hence they get in trouble with the law too, as no one is above the law. The only difference is that their celebrity status sometimes leads to bias, causing them to walk free or get a lighter sentence.

The following section lists 20 of the most shocking celebrity arrests ever, stories that caused the world to gasp and open their eyes wide.
