If your goal is JUST the outcome, then it won't last once you reach that outcome. To make the new habit or behavior stick and not constantly having to move the GOAL post is let the goal be to become the PERSON who can achieve those outcomes, and the results will naturally follow. And once you reach certain landmark achievements, you won't stop because that wasn't your finish. Becoming the person and doing the thing was.
