Work on your own time. Beginner or Expert. It works! Do it strategically as an expert. Get in doors you never could before. Give value up-front. Build the portfolio, build the content, build the connections and relationships and build the business of your dreams.

This is a big one. I need this advice constantly. Have a plan, but know that you'll never know everything, ever, and you'll need to just start before you're ready. You'll never be fully ready. As you go, continue to learn, adjust, and plan while you're continually take action. This is the fastest way there. You'll learn way more from making videos than reading about making videos.

Here’s the analogy that makes content marketing and online advertising crystal clear—especially for the old-school crowd. Think of it as “who you know” and “word of mouth,” but scaled up for the digital age. Hope it helps!
