In short-form video, the first seconds, half a second, can be the most crucial part of your video.
You have to hook, and hook them fast. And not by saying, "STOP SCROLLING" That doesn't work anymore.
Come up with a title for your video, and say it immediately. Start off with mystery, start off with comedy, start off with intrigue, great information, entertainment, education, inspiration, whatever you're doing it start. Don't wait.
People are scrolling faster and faster. Your most important line is the first one. What you do after that is up to you, but that's where you should start, or edit your videos in the future. No dead time. No looking at the camera to see if it's recording. No boring opening shot. No welcome back. Just start.
