When I got into the canine rehabilitation field, I did not anticipate becoming a business owner. I had to surround myself with mentors and other PT’s who had opened their own clinic so that I had someone who had successfully accomplished what I wanted to help guide the way. That is why I wanted to give back and mentor other canine rehab therapists in this field, especially on the business side. What is imposter syndrome? It’s the voice in the back of our heads that tells us that we are not worth it, to not take a risk and to stay in our lane. We all go through imposter syndrome at some point. Imposter syndrome can impact individuals' mental well-being, self-esteem, and overall confidence. It can hinder personal growth, professional development, and willingness to take on new challenges. Recognizing and addressing imposter syndrome is important to foster a healthier mindset, build self-compassion, and embrace one's accomplishments and abilities more authentically.
