Despite us being told every day by the media that "everyone" has befallen hard times, there's actually no better time than now to start marketing to affluent members of your community.
These are the people who are unaffected by the recession, meaning they still have money to spend even when times are tough.
Marketing to the affluent is a different ball game than most of us are used to. It requires a different strategy and a lot of extra consideration.
