Let's get to the first issue I want to discuss today.

Rude behavior.  Ahhhh...nobody wants to talk about this!!  

However, Studies have shown that everyday insults (we know what insults are...example would be ...your employee is in a middle of a meeting. She/he being talking and expressing their ideas and someone interjects. This isn't a one time occurrence. It happens over and over again.) Ok – so now that we know an example of rude behavior – this can have an adverse affect on productivity and ultimately - result in good employees quitting.

Global e-commerce sales exceeded $2 trillion in 2017, and are on pace to more than double by 2021  Yet average online conversion rates have remained doggedly low  Fewer than 4% of consumers arriving from desktop browsers buy, and the number is lower still for tablet and smartphone users (3% and 1%, respectively). These are a far cry from offline retail conversion rates estimated to be 20%–40%.

Why do so few online shoppers convert to purchasers?

Consumer behavior research suggests that trust is essential to forming an intention to purchase. When trust is high, people are much more likely to take risks and engage in trade. In the e-commerce setting, a prospective customer usually relies entirely on the digital experience.

The end of quality is it a business trend or the rise of the experience economy?

Customers are far more willing to spend money on concerts, dinner dates, and trips. That’s good for the businesses that understand and embrace the experience economy mentality. Organizations are still trying to do business the old way and it isn’t working .

Customers want to experience an emotional connection. They’re looking for organizations with shared values.

We pay attention to the things we find threatening and, to a lesser extent, rewarding.

Today customers place a premium on experiences.

What they’re really looking for though, is meaning.

People want companies to provide a consistently wonderful experience from beginning to end. The good news is, if the experience and values are there, customers are willing to spend more.

Does this mean quality doesn’t matter?

Nope It means it’s the end

Through some insightful feedback from listeners and business partners it was made thankfully aware to me that I had not done a good job of explanining what Augmented intelligence is and how it differs from Artifical intleligence. So I wanted to try to clear that up.

Augmented intelligence is something of an older brother of artificial intelligence that tends to use AI in more of assistive role, emphasizing the fact that it is designed to enhance human intelligence rather than replace it. Where Artifiical inteligence tends to be perceived more as a complete replacement of human intelligence.

Augmented intelligence is an alternative label for artificial intelligence which also reflects the current state of technology and research more accurately. While a sophisticated AI program is certainly capable of making a decision after analyzing patterns in large data sets, that decision is only as good as the data that human beings gave the programming to use.
