Her exploration into NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) opened up her mind and understanding, pushing her to take her own experience and help other parents create the connections and love with their kids that they desired.

I believe the love and joy you want to feel is on the other side of celebrating all of who you are, including the abuse and trauma you experienced and the emotions you feel.
I know what it feels like to wake up in the morning apathetic at best, dreading the day to come at worst. The trauma and abuse we experienced taught us to be less than who we are, to hide the real us, to hold in our emotions. We do not feel seen or heard, often using high achievement to gain significance and love.
But we keep our hearts closed, behind the armor, fearful of living and feeling joy because it will just be taken away.
My beautiful woman, it is time to set the armor aside, let go of the weapons, and open your heart to the true you.
When you remember how to listen to your inner superhero, to feel your heart, see your dream, and be yourself once again, the joy and love you seek will be found no where but from within.
