Initially, focus on upgrading your cursor to increase the candies per click. Once you reach about 25 candies per click, start investing in early upgrades like cookie clicker 2 and Candy Farm.

Idle Strategy: Although it's a clicker game, it also benefits from idle play. Start strong to get some initial candies, then upgrade your clicking. This will set you on the path to auto-earning candies even when you're not playing.

At the start, the primary way to earn candies is by clicking on the candy icon in the center of the candy clicker 2. The quicker you click, the more candies you'll collect. Using a mouse may help you click faster than using a trackpad.
