Dr. Shad Helmstetter is going to help you overcome the negativity in your life in this episode. He outlines how we are born into this world with unlimited potential. The answer may be with the word NO. As children we heard the word tens of thousands of times. That word was getting wired into our brain like a programmer programming a computer, our brains have been programmed. In Dr. Helmstetter's experience he heard how Olympians from East Germany were listening to messages of positive speech to help them with their goals and to overcome any negative thinking. He tried it when he decided he wanted to lose weight. Over a period of 10 weeks of listening to his own recording of self talk for 10 minutes a day while shaving, he lost 38 pounds and has not ever put it back on. Interestingly his wife listened to the same recording and she too lost significant weight.

The brain does not care where you came from. It cares about your future. If you say you are terrible with names, you will be terrible with names. However change the self talk that you are great with names and watch how that little step will help.
