How To Protect Your Partner's Vulnerabilities

Couples that grow together and learn to deescalate their cycles learn how to protect one another's vulnerabilities. A vulnerability is a wound or past trauma that leaves the survivor susceptible to further hurt and emotional pain.

In this episode we discuss ways to protect your partner's vulnerabilities. This is crucial to a establishing a secure relationship, but is not always easy to achieve. It requires deep awareness of your partner's triggers. Being able to articulate your partner's wounds and put it into the historical context in which it existed is also discussed in order to provide emotional protection.
