6. slúžiť (to serve)

8. zastaviť sa (to stop by)

11. Maj sa dobre! (Be well!)
12. Sedíme tu a rozprávame sa. (We are sitting here and talking.)
Conversation
1. Prosím. (Please.)
2. Ahoj Anka, tu je Olívia. (Hello, Anka, this is Olivia.)
3. Čau, Oli. (Hi, Oli.)
4. Sedíme tu s Vilom a rozprávame sa o víkende. (We are sitting here with Vilo and talking about the weekend.)
5: Hej? A čo? (Yeah? And what?)
6. V sobotu je na amfiku koncert. Nechcete ísť s nami? (There is a concert in the amphitheater on Saturday. Don’t you want to come with us?)
7. To znie zaujímavo. O ktorej začínajú? (That sounds interesting. What time do they start [playing]?)
8. O jedenástej. (At eleven o’clock.)
9. Večer? (Evening?)
10. Jasné, že večer. (Of course in the evening.)
11. To je pre mňa neskoro. (That is too late for me.)
12. Neskoro? V nedeľu sa môžeš vyspať, nie? (Late? You can sleep in on Sunday, can’t you?)
13. Nemôžem, musím ísť do práce. Slúžim dvanástku. (I can’t, I have to go to work. I have a twelve hours shift.)
14. Ach! Vybrala si si zlé povolanie. (Oh! You chose the wrong profession.)
15. Byť lekárkou nie je zlé povolanie. (Being a doctor is not a bad profession.)
16. Nie, nie je. Iba tie služby cez víkend by som nechcela. (No, it isn’t. However, I wouldn’t want those shifts on weekends.)
17. To je časť mojej zmluvy. Vedela som do čoho idem. (That’s a part of my contract. I knew what I was getting into.)
18. Tak dobre. Keď skončíš, zastav sa na pohár vína, dobre? (All right. Stop by for a glass of wine when you are done, okay?)
19. Vďačne, ďakujem za pozvanie. (Gladly, thank you for the invitation.)
20. Jasné. Maj sa, čau! (Sure. Be well, bye!)
