Today, I’m talking about the International Women’s Day in the past and present. In the Slovak lesson I will explain the difference between the Slovak verbs “isť” and “chodiť”. I prepared 5 short dialogues for you to practice it and see the difference. You will also learn how to say “I go to work every day. ”and “Do you want to date me?” in Slovak. At the end of this episode, you can find my short story about women and their rights movement.
Slovak lesson
Dialogue 1:
A: Kam ideš? (Where are you going?)
B: Idem do školy. (I’m going to school.)
A: Tak skoro? (So early?)
B: Každý deň chodím do školy tak skoro. (I go to school so early every day.)
Dialogue 2:
A: Kde je otec? (Where is father?)
B: Išiel do práce. (He went to work.)
A: No hej, otec chodí do práce každý deň. (Of course, father goes to work every day.)
Dialogue 3:
A: Kam ideš? (Where are you going?)
B: Idem na koncert. Chceš ísť so mnou? (I’m going to a concert. Do you want to go with me? / Do you have an interest in going with me now?)
A: Ach nie, nerada chodím na koncerty. (Oh no, I don't like going to concerts.)
Dialogue 4:
A: Chodíte často na Slovensko? (Do you often go to Slovakia?)
B: Nie, teraz ideme prvýkrát. (No, now we are going for the first time.)
A: A ako často chodíte do zahraničia? (And how often do you go abroad?)
B: Obyčajne každý rok, ale teraz ideme po troch rokoch. (Usually every year, but now we are going after three years.)
Dialogue 5:
A: Na akú školu chodí váš syn? (What school does your son goes to / attend?)
B: Chodí na gymnázium. (He goes to / attends a prep high school.)
A: Takže pôjde aj na vysokú školu? (So, will he also go to college?)
B: Pôjde, ale či tam bude naozaj chodiť, to sa ukáže neskôr. (He will go, but whether he will continue actually going there, it will show later.)

Slovak lesson
Dialogue 1:
A: Kam ideš? (Where are you going?)
B: Idem do školy. (I’m going to school.)
A: Tak skoro? (So early?)
B: Každý deň chodím do školy tak skoro. (I go to school so early every day.)
Dialogue 2:
A: Kde je otec? (Where is father?)
