I came across Dickie through Jay Clouse and lately, Andrew Barry ( founder of Curious Lion) on a recent web 3 learning design summit.

I read and consume all of these great snippets on twitter, and I desire to share about being a hybrid entrepreneur, creating a network effect ecosystem to support other empathic, creatives such as hypnotherapists, course creators, healers, and coaches - in the (not so utopia) real world of the creator economy.

We're at a great divide (thank gosh).

I find so many people standing on the shore, seeing the wave coming, but too scared or in fear that they just can't move.

My goal is to kick off my journey in real time as I plant the $SEED Creator COIN and Holding Economy where everyone builds wealth through their gifts and knowledge within the GROWTH GUILD COLLECTIVE.

So with that said, I’m sharing Dickie’s first thread of how to write to create a movement for TWO PURPOSES…..

NUMBER1:
I want to take my ADHD tendencies of my LOVE FOR rabbit holes in research, hours of poetic writing in my own head, and never sending it out - to STOP NOW.

I’m going to build my education on short form video and writing as I formulate my thoughts of bullets through the week can be exposed to the outer ecosystem where other high achievers can follow along and learn what they want, and leave the rest.

NUMBER 2:
Im dedicated to move through my own self sabotage of hiding behind my love of learning and consuming and when it comes to “shipping it,” using “VA’s that fail my high expectations “ as an excuse.

You know that wave I was talking about?.

We are the ones we are waiting for.

I've chosen my virtual reality in confidence to support others in unslaving themselves from the matrix.

This is all of our chance to get on that wave…. Ride it, and regulate it in our nervous system in collaborative experiences so it’s not so scary

Let's fall back in love with wealth, and create our own river of flow to your land of plenty.

Legacy Writers vs Digital Writers 101

There are two types of writers in the world today…

The first are legacy writers. These are people who still believe in the days of Hemingway and Faulkner.

To become a writer, they believe, you must smoke a pipe, stare out the window and wait for inspiration to strike.

Better yet, you must find a cabin in the woods (God forbid it has Internet), and dedicate the next 10 years of your life to write a Novel.

Considering part of me likes to think about log cabins, and I already take days to write “one new idea” in my “neurodistinct” mind….

Dickie say’s he thinks that’s a bunch of bologna.

The second are Digital Writers.

These are people who, in the age of the Internet, have realized the inefficiencies keeping talented writers from being heard 50, 100+ years ago.

Digital Writers don’t run away in refuge—they incorporate their writing into their daily lives.

Digital Writers don’t write by themselves - they Practice In Public using social publishing platforms like Twitter, Medium, or like me, I’m trying out Revue.

Digital Writers don’t guess what readers want to read about—they gather data, learn what works in real time, and iterate daily.

Dickie believes there has never been a better time in human history to be a writer.

“As long as you’re a Digital Writer.”

🔍 In conclusion, let's put Writing In The Digital Age side by side

ThHE ONE big difference :

Legacy Writers like to hide their work from the world until it’s “perfect.”

Digital Writers allow the world to help them make progress on their work.

Becoming a Digital Writer is all about letting go of the need to do some big grand “reveal” with your writing.

Instead of waiting until “the big moment” (when you hit publish) to see what people think, Digital Writers test their ideas, Practice In Public, and gather feedback as they go along.

As a result, their online writing is a constant iteration.

Proven Tweets become short essays.
Proven short essays become longer articles.
Proven articles become long-form blogs & ultimate guides
Proven ultimate guides become books, courses, and so on.

Digital Writers don’t spend time working on anything that hasn’t already been tested in some way.

The end result?

Enticing no brainer (pun) ✍️ it's hard AF to be cohesive and concise

Digital Writers move 10x faster, build their audiences as they go along, and end up uncovering way more ideas (via feedback) than they ever would have come up with on their own.

So much so, he says that once you go digital, you never go back.

My next lesson? How to take a digital garden approach to writing and become a prolific writer and creator who never runs out of original ideas.

But I'm intrigued, so I promise you Dckie, and my community….
