A short piece on flag semaphore. Flag semaphore is the telegraphy system used to convey information at a distance by means of visual signals with flags. This system is primarily used by the navy in case of a communications breakdown.
Footage taken aboard the Romanian Navy ship Regele Ferdinand, a part of Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 (SNMG2), which was taking part in a Passing Exercise in the Black Sea to increase interoperability between British, Romanian and Turkish naval forces.
