On this edition of the low carb healthy fat podcast today’s question is submitted by William and we have America’s angriest trainer, Vinnie Tortorich on the show with us once again. William’s a runner and I’m not sure if this is a LCHF question or if it’s just a general running question. He says when he’s running a marathon, once he gets to about 32km, so about seven miles to go in the marathon, he hits the wall.
That’s obviously jargon in running speak, he says the first part is pretty fast, but he really struggles in the last quarter of the race. Have you got any advice from a low carb healthy fat perspective and also what he could do as far as supplementation goes on race day to avoid hitting the wall when running a marathon?
