How to Thrive with Aromatherapy and Intuition: Interview with Jennifer Jefferies

Listen Later

Are you thriving in your life, or just surviving?

In my interview with Jennifer Jerries, we spoke about how we are all emotional beings, and we need to look at health as an integrated unit of our body, mind and soul. You can listen to this podcast with the player above or on iTunes podcasts. You can also watch the video below.

All the wealth and success mean nothing if we have no health to enjoy it all. Good health is not just about the absence of illness but it is about being well and feeling good.

Jennifer Jefferies is The Present Day Wise Woman, one of Australia’s most respected authors and speakers in the area of health and wellbeing, working closely with some of the world’s most well-known brands to restore work-life balance. She is an international speaker and author of many books, including her Aromatherapy Insight Cards.

After leaving her pharmaceutical management career and experienced a car accident, Jennifer took a complete turn and looked at her life and health in a completely new light. She became a passionate naturopath and aromatherapist. Since then, for more than 25 years, she has helped countless individuals to improve their lives.

I met Jennifer at the International Women’s Day special event hosted by Perfect Potion in March 2019 and within minutes I knew she is an inspirational and passionate teacher. Aromatherapy is a wonderful complimentary modality that can support our health, both on the physical and emotional level.

We are all unique constitutionally and we have different specific needs at different times. What we need today may be different from what we needed last year, and that’s why we need to listen to our intuition when it comes to choosing the essential oils that are right for us, right now.

There are certainly some essential oils that we like and are absolutely good for us in all seasons but we may get surprised by what we may need on a day-to-day basis. For example, Jennifer loves to use Vetiver to ground and balance herself, and it is an oil she likes to use on a daily basis, but she will choose different oils for her bath or spray or roll-on for different reasons from day-to-day.

Jennifer's Aromatherapy Insight Cards is another great tool to tap into our intuition and look at what essential oils can support us on any given day. She created these cards from combining her decades of experience in using the essential oils with her clients and kinesiology muscle testing.

We did a quick one-card reading on the spot during our interview, asking what do I need to know for my upcoming trip (at the time of recording I was due to leave in 2 days!) and what essential oil can best support my journey.

As it turned out, it was one of my favourite, the Neroli essential oil! The message was about I need to make choices and trust the flow of life. In fact, it is always a problem for me before I go on a long overseas trip, where I tend to pack too many tasks to do before AND during the trip. It can get really too overwhelming and simply not fun! This is such a good reminder for me!

No matter if you are completely new to Aromatherapy or you are already a regular user, you will find Jennifer’s approach refreshing and effective! Her Aromatherapy Insight Cards are super fun and easy to use too!
