We pick right back up the conversation with Curt Wheeler from a couple weeks ago in Episode 31 as we get into all the different formations you may run into in a doubles match - 1 up and 1 back, 2 up, 2 back and even I-formation. Not only do we talk about how to beat each one of them but we always share some tips on how and why YOU can use each one effectively.

Additionally, we share our thoughts on lefty/righty teams and which sides each player should play, and lastly we finish with Curt and I's simple doubles principles that, if you can stick to them and do them effectively, they'll help you win a lot of matches.

Curt grew up a highly touted junior player out of Salem, Oregon. He played his college tennis at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego where he excelled at both singles and doubles, culminating in an NAIA All-American selection in 2009. After a brief stint coaching back in his hometown Salem area, Curt returned to Point Loma and shortly thereafter was named the head coach of both the men’s and women’s programs.

Lessons Learned As A Tennis Parent With Wade Murphy And A Big Announcement! (Ep. 39)

For the better part of a decade Sam has been one of the best American male players of this generation and has been a mainstay inside the top 100 in the world. He's been a Wimbledon semi-finalist, multiple ATP title winner and US Davis Cup team member.

Sam Querrey On ATP Life, Competing Against The Best and Handling Wins and Losses (Ep. 38)

After scaling an 18,000 foot peak in a remote part of Mexico and biking down the Mississippi River from Minnesota to Louisiana, coach Nate Feldman has a lot of experience and wisdom to draw on when he guides tennis players at the highest level of the game. How do we overcome adversity, learn how to suffer gracefully, win long matches and became more well-rounded people in the process? All that and more is tackled in this week's episode of the Everything About Tennis podcast!

Nate Feldman has made a name for himself as a tennis coach at the top of the game, working with ATP and WTA players along with some the best NCAA Division I men's and women's programs in the country. After playing college tennis at the University of Minnesota, Nate helped coach the University of North Carolina women's tennis team, was the head men's and women's coach at Norfolk State University and served as the assistant men's coach at both Oklahoma State and the University of Oklahoma. In addition, he's worked as a traveling coach for players on the ATP, WTA and ITF circuits.

Nate's extensive coaching experience along with his passion for travel and the outdoors gives him a unique perspective on the game of tennis and coaching players. Climbing Mountains, Biking Across America and Tennis Tips with Nate Feldman (Ep. 37)

"The General" Greg Patton is a 2-time NCAA National Coach of the Year and is fourth all-time in NCAA Division I career wins. Just last month he was selected to be inducted into the ITA Collegiate Hall of Fame. He's led his teams at Boise State, UC Irvine, UCSB and CSU Bakersfield to 24 conference championships and has been selected the Conference Coach of the Year an astounding 15 times! In addition, he's had two stints as a US Junior National Team coach where he's worked with the likes of Pete Sampras, Jim Courier, Michael Chang, Andy Roddick and more!
