I'm sure you've set a goal at some point in the past. Whether it's an arbitrary goal like your new year's resolution of getting fit, or a more specific sales goal like hitting $500 per day in sales, you know what I'm talking about. I'm a huge believer in goal setting. Although it's only anecdotal, almost every time in my life where I've set a business goal or target to hit, nine times out of ten, I've achieved it. Because of this, it's almost become a habit in my life to set goals in my business. My first major sales goal that I set was in 2008, when I wanted to achieve $1,000 USD in online sales per day in my business. And lo and behold, with no experience in that industry, and no idea how I was going to achieve that, in less than three months I'd hit that marker. But how? If I had no idea how I was going to do it, why did it manifest? Well, I'm not going to suggest it was some Law Of Attraction-level stuff (although, maybe), but in my opinion, it was something even more simple. When you have a specific sales goal in mind for your business, your brain stops working on autopilot, and starts to subconsciously search for solutions to achieve that target, or solve that problem. Without having something it needs to achieve, it doesn't really start figuring out how to do it. I'll go into a little more in this episode, though that's the essence of what this is all about. Using that incredible mind of yours to work for you, instead of just letting it do whatever it feel like.
