I-statements are the most effective way to start a hard conversation. I-statements give you a formula to talk about suspicious or concerning behavior with a colleague without causing them to become defensive or angry. In this episode we learn the three components of an I-statement and how to craft the ideal empathetic conversation starter. This episode gives you the tools and guidance you need to step up and say something if you see a colleague struggling.
