To create a pivot table for Google Ads data related to YouTube content, follow these steps:

  1. Access Google Ads: Log in to your Google Ads account at ads.google.com.

  2. Navigate to Reports: Click on the "Reports" tab located on the left-hand side of the Google Ads interface.

  3. Create a new report: Click on the blue "+ Custom" button to create a new report.

  4. Configure the report settings:

    • Select "Table" as the report type.
    • Set the desired date range for your report.
    • Choose the metrics and dimensions you want to include in your report. For YouTube content, relevant metrics might include impressions, clicks, conversions, video views, and cost. Dimensions can include campaign, ad group, video, etc.
    • Apply any filters if necessary, such as filtering for specific campaigns or video content.
    • Generate the report: Click on the blue "Create" button to generate the report based on the selected settings.

    • Customize the table view: Once the report is generated, you can customize the table view to transform it into a pivot table.

      • Click on the "Edit" button located above the table.
      • Select the metrics and dimensions you want to use for your pivot table.
      • Drag and drop the desired dimensions into the "Rows" and "Columns" sections to define the structure of your pivot table.
      • Drag and drop the metrics into the "Values" section to determine the data you want to analyze.
      • Apply any additional customization options, such as sorting, aggregation functions (e.g., sum, average), and number formatting.
      • Analyze the pivot table: Once you've configured the pivot table settings, you can explore and analyze the data.

        • Review the summarized data in the pivot table.
        • Expand or collapse rows and columns to focus on specific subsets of data.
        • Apply additional filters or segmentations to gain further insights.
        • Export or save the pivot table: If desired, you can export the pivot table as a CSV, Excel file, or Google Sheets document. Alternatively, you can save the report within Google Ads for future reference.

        • By following these steps, you can create a pivot table within Google Ads to analyze YouTube content-related data from your Google Ads campaigns.
