For a time as we were coming out of the pandemic, the number of job openings per job seeker easily exceeded two and, in some sectors, three. Even though the job market has somewhat softened, there are still 1.6 jobs available for every job seeker in the U.S., so speed-to-interview, speed-to-offer, speed-to-hire, and speed-to-start-date are all critical to the success of any employer, but especially those hiring in volume.
