October 11, 2013 is the 25th Anniversary of National Coming Out Day. I'm preparing my second annual "coming out stories" podcast, which will be available on Monday, October 14. In fact, I'm giving you a little snippet from one of my conversations in this episode.

I encourage you to celebrate this day by telling someone you love and support them and accept them for who they are - gay or straight. Take advantage and seize the day. You'll be glad you did.

I thought I had recorded a podcast with Iskritza, but apparently I only got the first 10 minutes or so. So, when life gives you lemons…. I took a four minute segment that I thought was worth sharing and then hopefully I will get together with her again very soon and have another conversation, so you can hear the whole thing.

This is not my cousin Susan, who was on the podcast before. This is another Susan. She talks about keeping the lines of communication open with her two young daughters; why she was single until she was 35; and how it pisses her off when women say, "I'm just not in the mood."
