Homeschooled kids aren’t taught to see the world through the artificial lens of peer groups; they learn to relate to everybody the same. What could be more important than learning to navigate the most important relationships, the ones that last for life: family? Most of us took that for granted until 2020 when we were forced to stay home with our families. The lockdowns were a wakeup call as people realized just how dysfunctional their closest relationships actually were. Meanwhile, for homeschooling families, it was mostly business as usual. School doesn’t teach you how to have healthy relationships. But doing life with your family will, boom or bust!
