When God gave His people their promised land, it came with instructions. Failing to maintain some of them caused the land to fall under judgment by way of the great Babylonian captivity warned of by Jeremiah the Prophet. One of the main reason was failure to observe the Shmita. Tonight we will learn what the Shmita is and what observing, or failing to observe it was so important and what it helps to tell us about the hearts of those who ignored it.

A breakdown the strange prophetic similitudes that God preformed through Ezekiel the prophet in order to warn the people of exactly what was coming in the prophesied Siege. The judgment that Jeremiah had been warning of for years was now here. Yet does is also show us the depths of mercy in why God allowed them to displaced, not as a punishment, as much as a protection from what was about to happen.

Did you know that when Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was, He quoted straight from Deuteronomy 6, what was widely known as the, “Shema”? It was the most critical piece of theology in all of ancient Israel. Everyone knew it; everyone memorized it. - It  begins with, “Hear O Israel!” and I believe without a doubt, that is a great place to start!

In a world filled with endless distractions and competing voices, how do we recognize the voice of the Lord? And more importantly… are we truly listening?

We discover why hearing God’s voice is the foundation of our relationship with Him and why the very first word of the Shema still speaks powerfully to all believers today.

In this message we are going to give you a prophetic picture of what is coming to the nation through what happened to Israel in the time of the book of Lamentation. Pay close attention to how perfectly it parallels the times we currently live in.

A needed reminder that our walk of faith is not a one time encounter or act of faith. How you start matters, how you finish matters, and the journey in-between matters. Don't get lax because you did well in the past. Continue to fallow Jesus into new territory and adventures that will lead to new revelation and rewards in heaven.

Purpose. We all have it.  God ordained it.  For everyone. But having purpose isn’t enough on its own.  What is it that takes us from “purposeful,” to useful?  The answer?  Implementation, ordination, or being commissioned!  THAT is what takes our Purposefulness, to “usefulness”— Jonah had purpose as it regarded Nineveh, but his purpose alone wasn’t actually useful until he finally surrendered to, “being sent”— God never intended for His people to simply sit on the sidelines.  Every believer has a purpose.  Every believer has a mission.  And I mean, EVERY. BELIEVER. …Men AND Women.  So when God calls someone, He also prepares them, then finally, He sends them. A word of warning from the Holy Spirit for those with ears to hear it, to get in under a Godly covering, because a storm is coming in an unexpected suddenly 

In our modern world that often views authority as suppression, the Bible actually presents a very different picture.  What if God’s design for authority wasn’t about prevention… but PRO-tection?  What if the Biblical coverings aren’t meant to diminish your calling as a woman, but actually to facilitate it, and strengthen it?  In today’s world, we often see extremism on both sides:  Either it’s, “No. women cannot minister,” OR you hear, “Women are NO different than men, and can do everything a man can do…”  however, both are completely… and provably wrong.  I invite you to watch the  prelude sermon to this series that spells out the undeniable case, scripturally, that women can in fact minister, but UNDER a QUALIFIED MALE COVERING….
