Late Night Jazz With Howcee

Jazz is a genre of music that originated in African American communities during the late 19th and early 20th century. It emerged in many parts of the United States in the form of independent popular musical styles, all linked by the common bonds of African American and European American musical parentage with a performance orientation

President Barack Obama's Charleston eulogy: 'Amazing Grace'

President Barack Obama delivered a touching eulogy, a rousing political speech and a thoughtful meditation on race in America when he traveled to Charleston, South Carolina on Friday to speak at the funeral of the Rev. Clementa Pinckney, who was gunned down last week by a racist terrorist during Bible study.

But the President's speech will be remembered for a moment at the end when the he launched into a solo of "Amazing Grace," that at first stunned the mourners and then brought them to their feet as they joined him in song.

Unlike past times Obama has confronted an act of violence, he knew the highest profile victim of the Charleston shooting personally. Obama met Pinckney as an early supporter of his 2008 presidential bid.

That personal connection differentiated Friday's eulogy from the funerals Obama keynoted after previous shootings. So, too, did the renewed questions on race spurred by the shooter's apparent motivations.

"None of us can or should expect a transformation in race relations overnight. Every time something like this happens, somebody says, 'We have to have a conversation about race,'" Obama said. "We talk a lot about race. There's no shortcut. We don't need more talk."

Fox News: Charleston shooting is an attack on faith, not race—calls for pastors to arm themselves

The ultra-pale geniuses at Fox News would like you to know that the mass shooting at an African-American church in Charleston, South Carolina is really an attack on faith. Video from Media Matters, full transcript below:

Evil And Wicked People: In America: In The World: What do God's word Say about Man Evil And Wicked People

Romans 3:10-18

As it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” “Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive.” “The venom of asps is under their lips.” “Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.” ... Proverbs 6:12-16

A worthless person, a wicked man, goes about with crooked speech, winks with his eyes, signals with his feet, points with his finger, with perverted heart devises evil, continually sowing discord; therefore calamity will come upon him suddenly; in a moment he will be broken beyond healing. There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him:

This Map Shows Which Company Owns The Elected Officials In Your State (IMAGE)

Alabama Your senators and representatives are bowing to special interests. Here's which ones.

It’s no secret that the “of the people, by the people and for the people” government our founding fathers created has become “of the corporations, by the lobbyists and for the profit margins.” Special interests have infiltrated at the highest levels, purchased presidential candidates years before the next election, and put the middle and working class of our country on a path to destruction, all to pad the offshore accounts of a few fat cats at the top.

The legislation you see coming out of your state is molded by the companies that reside there. The larger the company, the more influence they’ll have over policy decisions. This map shows which company is the top seed in your state. You can be assured that company has an immense amount of power when it comes to deciding how the government of your state operates, as well as who owns the votes each state sends to Washington.
