As the old African proverb says, "It takes a village to raise a child." One could imagine then that it would take a community to raise a school. We can't rely on local, state, or federal governments to take ownership of the issues we face locally. We need to work as a community to nurture our schools for our particular community needs.
I believe the answer to real education/school transformation is strong, authentic community connections and actions. When families, community groups, business and schools band together to support learning, young people achieve more in school, stay in school longer, and enjoy the experience more.
Great examples of school/community partnerships are happening all over the world. We need more of them, and we need to ensure they are healthy and relevant to the needs of 21st century learners.

Howcee Productions Gospel Morning Show Monday Jan. 30 2017. America Who do you Love?
Howe well do you know God? God goodness and grace He shown mercy from generation to generation to all who fear him  Luke 1:50
America America America who do you love? God is a Powerful God. God.
He knows what the race/hate is in America. It's still here, in the hearts of some men. I know this America that we live in today some have the mind to let God. It very hard for me when it keeps reverberating over and over again and again. Some of our white brothers as well as others know what they have done and still doing veil ways. Some say let it go. When you see the talk in America about the two labels we in America put on our veil of hate for our brothers and sisters in the form LIBERAL vs CONSERVATIVE., Right vs the Left. Gay vs Straight. How is it that the America we live in day to day. Hate each other so much? especially the the black skins of it brothers so much. I some time ask God why/but in the power of human understanding. God knows it will harden my heart for my white anglo skin brothers and sisters. so he tell me the truth you are not ready for. Their are some thing you do not need to know. I am 70 years old. This day I now understand the level of evil hate in the hearts of my white (I say some) brothers and sister. Only Satan can fill a human heart to hate another human like this. This is the kind of hate and evil that led to the death of the Jews and Indians African and men of all colors and kind by their brothers . This is the Evil of the fight Cain and Abel. Cain kill Abel. Satan the deceiver the lier. the ruler of this world. Some day we will all understand it better By and By.

  • Howcee Prod. Gospel Morning Show Sun. Jan 29 2017 "PRAISE GOD WITH ALL CREATION"
Howcee Prod. Gospel Morning Show Sun. Jan 29 2017 "PRAISE GOD WITH ALL CREATION"   Lesson for January 29, 2017: Praise God with All Creation (Psalm 148) WE THANK DR. MARK SCOTT Dr. Mark Scott wrote this treatment of the International Sunday School Lesson. Scott teaches preaching and New Testament at Ozark Christian College, Joplin, Missouri. This lesson treatment is published in the January 22, 2017, issue of The Lookout magazine, and is also available online at www.lookoutmag.com.
All Creatures of our God and King” was created around the 1900s, but the lyrics go all the way back to St. Francis of Assisi (1225). The hymn contains several stanzas. In the first five stanzas a portion of creation is beckoned to give God praise (one—sun and moon; two—wind and clouds; three—water and fire; four—fields and flowers; five—people and nations).
The last few psalms of the psalter gave rise to what St. Francis did—beckoned all creation to give praise to God. In fact, Psalms 146–150 all begin and end the same way: Praise the Lord. The Hebrew word for praise is “halal.” It means to glorify, boast, or even shine. The theme of Psalm 148—and really Psalms 146–150—is that humankind should join the chorus of the rest of creation in giving praise to the Lord.

Sam Cooke - A Change Is Gonna Come Fifty years ago, Sam Cooke's “A Change Is Gonna Come” hit the charts. The enduring civil-rights anthem took inspiration from surprising.THE UNLIKELY STORY OF “A CHANGE IS GONNA COME” By David Cantwell   March 17, 2015
Half a century ago, on March 7, 1965, state troopers knocked down, gassed, and beat a number of men and women who were participating in a peaceful march for voting rights in Selma, Alabama. That same day, radio listeners around the country might have heard Sam Cooke singing a lyric he’d written and recorded several months earlier, but which could have been describing the “Bloody Sunday” confrontation on the Edmund Pettus Bridge.
Then I go to my brother
And I say, “Brother, help me please.
But he winds up knockin’ me
    Back down on my knees.
Like the Selma-to-Montgomery march, Cooke’s brooding but bright civil-rights anthem “A Change Is Gonna Come” recently marked its fiftieth anniversary. The song, which was released as the B-side of Cooke’s posthumous hit single “Shake” just days after his funeral, in December 1964, entered the national pop and R&B charts during the first week of 1965. It fell off the pop countdown, after peaking at No. 31, on March 13th, and would slip from the R&B charts, where it climbed to No. 9, on April 10.
