Today's episode and the guest that I'm so excited for everyone to get to know is a gift, to say the least. Robert “Cujo” Teschner presented to my tech group in July, and he made a phenomenal presentation that really made a mark on all of us. I'm so happy to have him on the show because you are all in for a treat. 

Mr. Robert “Cujo” Teschner is a retired F-15 / F-22 fighter pilot. He is also a former F-15 Weapons School Instructor (the US Air Force “Top Gun” school), F-22 Fighter Squadron Commander, senior Joint Staff officer and combat veteran. He holds advanced degrees in Operational Art and Science and National Security Strategy, and has extensive experience in operational and tactical planning, as well as organizational leadership.

From 2004 through mid-2006 he served as the US Air Force’s expert in post-mission debriefing, the methodology used by high-performing military teams to self-correct and improve continuously. He retired immediately after pinning-on full Colonel due to complications from colon cancer-related care and started a leadership and teamwork training company based in St. Louis, MO called VMax Group. VMax Group is constantly bringing high-performance capabilities to the business space to help organizations build and develop real teams. VMax Group’s purpose is to “Teach and inspire real teamwork so that teams can thrive in disruption and keep America’s economy strong."

Mr. Teschner is a multiple award-winning fighter aviator and leader, an award-winning writer and author of the national bestselling book, “Debrief to Win”. He is simultaneously working on two new books on leadership, the first of which is titled “An American Fighter Pilot: Lessons Learned Beyond Mach-1” and is slated for release in the Spring of 2022.

Hello everyone and welcome to another very interesting and insightful episode of the How'd It Happen podcast. In this episode, we have the Visit Milwaukee Chairman of the board, Omar Shaikh. He shares the culture that his restaurant has, Carnevor, and what makes it so great and successful through the years. Milwaukee business owner and community leader Omar Shaikh is well-known for his award-winning restaurant Carnevor, one of the top-rated steakhouses in Wisconsin known for its amazing customer service and mouth-watering cuisine. He is also a partner in Wisconsin Ticket Concierge, O & B Consulting, and 3rd Street Market Hall at The Avenue and Tuk Tuk Chicago, a short-distance electric cab service. Omar has a passion for moving the city of Milwaukee forward through his active involvement in the community. He currently services as board chairman of VISIT Milwaukee and is a member of the Wisconsin Center District board of directors. Omar was one of the leading advocates to get approval for the long-awaited expansion of the convention center, which will greatly benefit hotels, restaurants and retailers throughout southeastern Wisconsin. 

He strongly believes in giving back to the community and is chairman of the Milwaukee Kitchen Cabinet, which has put together the ‘Three Days of Christmas’ initiative to provide holiday meals and gifts for non-profit groups for the past several years. Omar and his wife, Connie, have been leaders in raising money for the area’s non-profits and community groups, serving as co-chairs for several record-breaking fundraisers, including the Harry & Rose Sampson Jewish Community Center’s KidShare and Sharp Literacy’s ‘A Novel Event.’

Today I am with the Founder and Executive Chairman of Palmetto Infusion as well as the CEO and President of Carolus Company. These are excellent companies that are helping different groups of people. Palmetto Infusion is an ambulatory infusion company with an in-home care segment. While Carolus Company helps organizations and leadership teams get the most out of their business. As always, we talked in length about how'd it happen for Gary Cooper, the lessons he has learned along the way, and so much more.

Gary is very grateful to have been born into an American Dream-storied family. His parents were the first off the farm, and a small town to begin their entrepreneurial journey and build a health care business legacy. Gary followed in their footsteps, founding his first business with his father at the age of 24 in 1996. This is where he learned old fashion values of keeping your word, servant leadership (before it was popular), putting employees and customers first, people before profits, and simply "do the right thing." These values served him well as he created, developed, and successfully exited seven companies to Private Equity or Publicly Traded companies over the next 24 years. He is currently the Chairman of Palmetto Infusion, which has 22 locations in 4 States and has 300 employees and growing over 30% per year. Palmetto Infusion is the National Leader in Ambulatory Infusion. Out of all the lessons he learned from his father, one of the most valuable was the paradox of "Letting Go."

George Bandarian II is the Founder, General Partner & CEO of Untapped Ventures, a $10 million venture studio fund based in LA, that builds and invests in startups, re-imagining the New Future of Work. Finding Your Massively Transformative Purpose

Right after graduating from the Marshall Business School, USC, George Bandarian entered the family business. At the time, it was a microfilm services company that was risking to fail due to technology obsolescence, but George led the company’s digital transformation in the 2000s. AMI – The paperless Company became a B2B/Enterprise software and services company, that helped large companies eliminate paper and automate processes. The company was ultimately sold to a strategic buyer for a successful multimillion-dollar all-cash exit in 2018.

Such success also came with hardship. George had worked at his family company for over 18 years, and it was part of his identity, and after selling the company he went through a post-exit identity crisis, something not uncommon among entrepreneurs. In fact, you might be financially free, but if you don’t have a clear goal in life, you are not truly fulfilled. At the time, George didn’t have a purpose, and that’s when he started the journey to discover it. He dove deep into personal development, learned from Peter Diamandis, read several books, and even attended the “Date with Destiny” seminar with Tony Robbins. Exposing himself to all these experiences made him discover his MTP (Massively Transformative Purpose): to help millions of people achieve breakthroughs and access their untapped potential. Which is exactly what he’s doing at Untapped Ventures.
