On this week's episode we are talking one of the greatest (if not greatest) zombie movies of all time; George A. Romero's 1978 film Dawn of the Dead. To help us wade through the blood and guts on the mall floor is filmmaker and founder of the Kitchener - Waterloo Film Festival Dan McLeod.

When there is no room in hell the dead will walk the earth

Dan McLeod is a Writer/Director from Waterloo, Ontario. He is a strong proponent of independent cinema, known for his feature and short films he created and runs the Kitchener Waterloo Film Festival as a means of establishing a sense of community for indie filmmakers and fans.

Why are we talking about movies we watched in 2022 in 2023? Well because Kris F..ed up the schedule. So to give you that sweet sweet content, we  decided to just riff on movies we watched over the year that we enjoyed. That's new films from 2022 and of course Kris had to go back to 1949. We also throw out the films were excited for this year.

Here comes Scott, he's a Berserker.

Dante wasnt suppose to be here today but we were. If you haven't figured it out yet, we are talking the film that started the career of Kevin Smith and of course, Jay and Silent Bob.

Take a listen as we go back to the Quick Stop to see if this cult gen x classic still holds up.

Student debt, gig economy, unpaid internship, all the horror's of this modern age are revealed in this week's episode; and its not even a horror movie.

This Indi darling touching on the zeitgeist should be right up Kris's alley. So did he like it more than Scott? Tune in to find out.

Well we did it again, couldn't be bothered to provide you with new content. This time is wasn't lazy hosts but a technical issue.

For this week's show were going back to the birth of the pod, when we dropped our # 1 episode; James Cameron's Aliens. We figured it was fitting since we are all eagerly awaiting Avatar 2.

Scott and Kris talk about James Cameron's classic sci-fi action film Aliens.

We told you we would give you something special for denying you that sweet sweet new content so here you go.

On September 3rd 2022, two men walked into a theater. They did it at different time, yet they saw the same film. This is their story.

So yet again Kris put himself before you dear listeners. He says he's off at some film fest but we know that BS. So, here is a re-release of our Jaws show, as well we will be dropping a special bonus episode in the next few days to make up  for Kris's tardiness.

On this week’s show, we talk about a film that needs no introduction (or at least a John Williams score that doesn’t need one); Jaws. The first hit from director Steven Spielberg, this Oscar-winning movie created the summer blockbuster, got us out of the water and your position on it will decide if you’re in Scotts will.  It's Psycho with a shark in true Hitchcockian style; more thriller than horror

On this week's episode we are going back to Wakanda and we are dragging Kris with us. We know how much he loves Marvel movies so not only did we pick a movie that almost 3 hours long, we invited our editor and superhero aficionado Tyler Pratt to be our guest.

So check out the episode and find out how much fun Kris had.

On this week's episode we're talking about the glossy period piece (or is it) from actor/director Olivia Wilde. The drama of this drama wasn't contained to the screen and it had almost become infamous before it was released.  So its it all show no go? Does it rise above the drama and the hype? Is Harry Styles a good actor or just the third Pinocchio we have seen in 2022?

"This story is neither an accusation nor a confession, and least of all an adventure, for death is not an adventure to those who stand face to face with it. It will try simply to tell of a generation of men who, even though they may have escaped its shells, were destroyed by the war...”

For Remembrance Day this year we reviewed the 2022 remake of All Quiet on the Western Front. Based on the 1929 novel of the same name by Erich Maria Remarque, the original 1930s film is considered the first significant anti war film.
