WHO IS RORY?
Rory Gardiner is an award-winning songwriter, comedian, TEDx speaker and content creator.
As a former Software consultant working on multi-million dollar government projects, he chose to abandon “complacency”, to create a name in the entertainment industry. A CCMA-nominated country artist, his songs have been placed in commercials starring Kevin Nealon, Arnold Palmer, Chris Bosh, and he’s shared the stage with recording artists like Keith Urban. He has worked with brands including Under Amour, and on TV shows like The Handmaids Tale.
As a comedian, he’s been featured on Funny or Die, Americas Funniest Videos, and SiriusXM. His humorous viral videos led him to speak on the TEDx stage about resilience. Using humor to overcome adversity. Now as host of the Balanced Artist Podcast, he helps creative individuals level up from amateur to pro, creating art around their lifestyle, not the other way around. Changing their perceptions of failure and reframing their creative careers as “Balanced Artists”

It seems as though we are all desperately waiting on this golden opportunity. Someone notice me, give me the recognition I deserve, I want media attention on my brand, I want to interview that celebrity on my show, I want this video to go viral.
Until it does….and what it brings with it wasn’t something you expected and you realize that maybe you should be grateful….that you haven’t made it yet.

Although Dr. Kojo has spent years working in very intense mental-health situations, he is leading the way showing how to use viral videos and creative content to advocate for mental health and empower his audience through education.
Today we dig into how to use online media to spread messages you care about, why he is on a mission to bring mental health into the entertainment space, and how we can let go of self-judgment as creators and as he puts it, simply do.
