We live sanctified lives by living in peace with others, with ourselves, and with the Spirit. We live it, but the God of peace does it, sanctifying us completely.

A hope filled life looks forward to Christ’s return because it looks backward to His first coming.

Living for God’s pleasure means we do His will. His will is for us to live sexually pure lives that are distinctly His.

Paul’s ministry to the church in Thessalonica provides us a wonderful example how recognizing a need and appropriately responding to that need can lead to opportunities of celebration.

Living to please God means we give away God’s gospel and ourselves. That is living generously.

What authority to we really give to the Word of God? Is it authoritative in every way over our lives? Or do we reserve final authority for ourselves to decide what is right?

We are most content when we are most reliant on the absolute sufficiency of Christ to satisfy us.

In Philippians 3:1-4:1, Paul relates how he experienced a dramatic and radical restructuring of life priorities so that to know Jesus surpassed everything else. It was his “one thing”.

When we realize that in Jesus we have absolutely everything we need, we are satisfied. And when we are satisfied in Him, we can serve others.
