Could Psalm 70 become like an ear-worm - a prayer to God that is available in times of trial without us even having to think about it?  It is a prayer to God which doesn't just ask for protection against our enemies.  David is asking God to actively turn his enemies away from him, and to show them the error of their ways through shame, confusion and disgrace.

How does this fit with the message of the New Testament and the way Jesus taught us to pray in the Lord's prayer?  Listen as Graham unlocks the relevance of this Psalm, and shows us that we can boldy pray the same way.

Can you imagine the worst day of your life?  It could be in the past, something you're currently dealing with, or a feared future event.  What help would you look for on that day?  What conclusions would you draw about the state of your life?

In this passage, read to us by Amy, we hear how a man experiencing the worst day of his life puts his faith in Jesus.  Simon then shows how that faith can change the whole of our earthly lives, and what hope there is in the eternal promise of Jesus.

God has authority over all of creation and He has given authority to mankind since the creation of the world so that mankind can use their God given authority to glorify Him.  Has mankind used their God given authority for God's glory or have they misused it?  The right use of authority leads to blessing and the misuse of authority leads to exile.  In the Bible we see God's people misusing the authority that God has given them only to be sent into exile.  So what does God's authority and the authority given by God to mankind have to do with Jesus as the The Son of Man?  Listen to the podcast to hear Simon teach about God's authority over all of creation, the God given authority to mankind and their misuse of it, and Jesus, the Son of Man, who perfectly exercised God's authority on earth as the Son of Man.
