Holy living isn’t sourced from self-effort or keeping the Law, rules or regulations. The source of holy living is dependence upon Holy Spirit and being led by Him. He’ll never lead you astray. Those who follow Him fulfill the law meaning they don’t violate the heart of God that’s revealed in His commandments.

Paul made it clear. Following the Torah, following pagan rituals, or any other rules and regulations make Christ ineffective in us. I.e. instead of maturing in Christ, the believer under the Law stops maturing. Christ said that on two commandments would hang the Law and the Prophets—love God with your entire being and your neighbor as yourself. The word hang means to “hang suspended like on a cross!”

There are two covenants according to Paul. One leads to bongage and the other to promise. In the teaching, Sherri breaks it down very plainly and reveals a connection to the Law never before seen in relation to promise!

What makes this message astounding is the fact that the Apostle Paul, a Pharisee of Pharisees, compared the pagan ritualistic practices of the pre-saved Gentiles to those under the Law of Moses or any law created by man! No wonder riots started everywhere he went! We are continuing our series on Galatians and it is the most no-holes-barred messages from Paul on the fact that NO part of the Law passed through the cross. Jesus fulfilled it all and paid the penalty. It’s no longer Law but Love that’s to be the source of our decisions!

To keep or not to keep the Law determines whether you’re a slave or a mature son. This groundbreaking teaching makes it very, very clear that to try to live your Christian walk under the Mosaic Law or any man-made law is the exact opposite of what Jesus came to do, which was redeem us. Redeem means to “buy us out of the slave trade of legalism!” The Bible is clear. We have been set free from the law except for two commandments that are based in love!
