  • Dancing in the Streets of Troy for FlagSSS Day 2023
    FlagSSS Day is a celebration of all flags, a day of joy, a day to dance in the streets... This year's parade drew a crowd of joyous people with flags and outfits of all kinds. Organized by Hana van der Kolk, Angela Beallor, and Elizabeth Press (EP), FlagSSS Day began in 2019 and has since organized other events like As the Crow Flies. This year FlagSSS Day received a grant to commission artists to create flags (stay tuned for a story on those artists). Hudson Mohawk Magazine's Sina Basila Hickey reports.

  • Albany Riverfront Collaborative On Reimagining The 787 Cooridor
    The State Department of Transportation, as part of its $5 million study to reimagine the I-787 corridor. is holding a community meeting 4:30-7:30 pm, on June 27 at the MVP Arena in Albany, It's critical that the community show up and give their input. Like many urban highways, I-787 is reaching the end of its lifespan. To date, 39 U.S. cities—including Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse—have opted to eliminate these high-maintenance money pits in favor of roadway redesign.
