    Voices for Peace is a documentary and theatrical film about anti-war activism produced by Creative Action Unlimited. After playing for a few weeks at the Madison Theatre in Albany, it is available online from July 5 to July 18. In addition to focusing on several nationally-known peace activists, it includes interviews with local activists Maureen Aumand, John Amidon, Pat Beetle, Mabel Leon and Joe Lombardo.     June 3, 2022 : Lasting Impression Exhibition | Pine Hills Public Library in Albany
    Art professors often have dual roles: making art and turning students into artists. Eleven regional printmaking professors were asked to exhibit and to, in turn, invite a current or former student to exhibit alongside them. “Lasting Impression” reveals both the range of print work being made in our region and the lasting impressions students and faculty make on each other. Ten regional colleges are represented in the exhibition: Bard College, Bennington College, Dutchess Community College, Middlebury College, Rensselaer Polytechnic University, Skidmore College, SUNY Oneonta, University at Albany, University of Hartford, and Union College.

  • NY Denies Permit For Greenidge But CryptoCurrency Bill Still Not Signed
    The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has denied the air permit renewal for the Greenridge Generation cryptocurrency mining facility on Seneca Lake. DEC found that the facility didn’t meet the statewide greenhouse gas emission limits under the new climate law (CLCPA).
