  • Tasheca Medina on the Need for Narcan on the Streets
Opioid-related overdoses have increased as a health threat during Covid-19. In 2006 a law was passed in New York State that allowed non-medical persons to administer Naloxone or Narcan to another individual to prevent an overdose from becoming fatal. Here in Troy, we have also seen a spike in overdoses and community groups like Equality for Troy have been increasing their harm reduction efforts. Next, Tasheca Medina talks to WOOC producer Elizabeth Press about her work and the need for more Narcan in Troy.
