This time for our in-between seasons episode, we chronicle Huell's numerous trips to Moscow. During the early years of the 1990's Huell was intrigued by the Soviet Union and decided to go. That trip, and a subsequent follow up less than two years later changed Huell's life and that of two Russian ex-pat's who's life in their new country of America is shown through the lens of Howser and Fuerte. These shows may not be in California, but they're most definitely GOLD!

This week were getting down and dirty with some clay, because were making some terra cotta, and no not flower pots. This is high art pieces made for building facades. This is all new to Huell and he is in complete AMAZEMENT of the work done at the Gladding McBean Company in Lincoln, CA. Huell is really going out on a limb this week...a bristlecone pine tree limb that is. Were joining Mr. Howser on a trip to find two of the most remote places in California. First we visit the site of the oldest living things on earth, the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest. Then we head out on Mule-back to visit the AMAZING LeConte Falls in the Tuolumne Meadows area of Yosemite National Park. It's real deal California's Gold this week.

Huell has left the Bay Area and headed down to the desert. Were in Amboy, a town so small that a man owns the whole thing! But that's just the beginning ... We'll also visit some homestead shacks, a dry salt lake bed, a VOLCANO! and a few other surprises. This is a hot one and Huell has plenty of lemonade.

Huell leaves the bay area this week to visit some very obscure places in California's World War II history. First were heading to Long Beach to visit Herman the German. Than, we head north to Goleta to see the spot that brought the war to the West Coast. Huell is going to where the history is richest and we're all along for the ride.

Huell Howser is still in the Bay Area this week and he's visiting the largest island in the bay. It is rich with history and has played an important if not controversial role in San Francisco history. Huell is gonna learn all about this most peculiar of trees and gets sliced and diced by one.
