Facebook plans to expand its community operations team by adding 3,000 more people, as part of a growing effort to screen and combat harmful content on the social network. CEO Mark Zuckerberg made the announcement on his Facebook page Wednesday morning, pledging that the new hires will help the company“get better at removing things we don’t allow on Facebook like hate speech and child exploitation.

A major airline is under fire this weekend and, no, it’s not United. A Delta Airlines pilot sparked controversy on Saturday after a video appeared to show him hitting a passenger. In the footage, posted on TMZ,a skirmish breaks out amongst two passengers exiting a flight at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The pilot steps into intervene and, in doing so, appears to abruptly smack one woman. The fight quickly breaks up and the passenger are escorted away by security.

United Airlines announced Thursday it hasreached a settlement with a passenger who was injured and bloodied after officers dragged him from his seat on a flight earlier in April. Dr. David Dao’s lawyer said he reached an agreement for undisclosed terms over the incident in which his nose was broken and several teeth were knocked out after he refused to give up his seat for a United employee on a flight from Chicago to Louisville, Kentucky.

The total solar eclipse stamp will beprinted with thermochromic inkso that when you rub it, the image of a blacked-out sun transforms into a detailed photo of the moon that’s blocking it. Uber may have the higher valuation, but Lyft is trouncing it in the PR game. Starting May 1, Lyft riders will have the option of rounding up their fares to the nearest dollar and donating the proceeds to charity. The ride-hailing company first announced the program last month, revealing Thursdaythat it will funnel its first month’s donations to the United Service Organization, a nonprofit that supports members of the U.S. armed forces.

A Texas judged ordered Exxon Mobil to pay $19.9 million in fines on Wednesday after finding one of the company’s refining and chemical plants illegally spewed millions of pounds of pollutants into the air. Conservation groups Environment Texas and the Sierra Club sued Exxon in 2010, saying the energy giant failed to implement technology that would curb emissions at its Baytown, Texas complex between 2005 and 2013.

We’ve heard of exploding cell phones and e-cigarettes. Now, a Wisconsin woman is warning about exploding fitness trackers. Fitbit owner Dina Mitchell said she was wearing her Flex 2 device last week when it spontaneously exploded on her wrist, leaving her with second-degree burns. “It didn’t heat up at first, there was no warning, it just, it burst into flames. It exploded,” the Milwaukee resident told WISN News of the April 18 incident.

An ultralight aircraft called the Kitty Hawk Flyer has been unveiled in a YouTube video that shows it zipping over a lake while commandeered by a single rider. The electric, propeller-driven prototype is the work of Page’s Silicon Valley startup company, Kitty Hawk, which announced that the vehicle will go on sale later this year.

Tempers flared on Flight 591 to Dallas on Friday less than two weeks after a passenger was dragged off a United flight to make way for a crew member to fly. As the video begins a woman is seen in the front of the plane, upset and crying, with a baby in her arms.The passenger who videotaped the incident, Surain Adyanthaya, said on Facebook that she had been struck by her stroller as a flight attendant roughly yanked it away from her as people were boarding.
