Airbnb hosts who want to add solar panels to their homes just got some green to do so. The home-renting service announced a partnership on Tuesday with solar-panel maker SolarCity to give $1,000 cash back to Airbnb hosts in 19 states. The offer, funded fully by SolarCity, goes through March 31, 2017, then falls to $750 for the rest of the year. The deal goes both ways.

Airbnb filed a lawsuit against New York City on Friday, after Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D)approved legislation that would penalize individuals who advertise renting out their apartments for less than 30 days. Technically, leasing an entire apartment for such a short period of time has been illegal in New York since 2010. But tenants do it anyway, and landlords often are unaware, look the other way or can’t stop the practice.

That’s the issue Twitter is grappling with in the wake of a new report that shows a “sharp uptick” in the anti-Semitic bullying of journalists. The Anti-Defamation League studied millions of tweets in the year before July 2016 and found that, as the election ramped up, anti-Semitic harassment of journalists significantly increased.

Objectivity is tough, even for scientists. Because of unconscious gender bias, scientists are twice as likely to write glowing letters of recommendation for men than for women, according to a comprehensive new study of recommendation letters in the geosciences published last week in the journal Nature Geoscience. Surprisingly, it did not matter if a woman or a man wrote the letter itself, the bias remained.

The Trump Taj Mahal hotel and casino, which Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump once owned, officially closed Monday morning. The property in Atlantic City, New Jersey, which no longer belongs to Trump but still bears his name, shut its doors at 5:59 a.m. local time, according to a note on its website. The hotel lost a battle with union workers, whose health care and pension benefits had been taken away from them in bankruptcy court. The union went on strike July 1.
