Huge changes coming to Churchill Downs

Listen Later

This week’s Access Louisville podcast includes the usual mix of business news and cheeky commentary.

We start the show with a discussion of Louisville hotels: Where have we stayed and what did we think. The Sealbach Hotel and the Galt House both come up. The hotel discussion starts at the 00:56 mark.

After that we have a discussion about Churchill Downs Racetrack and it’s huge plans for a trackside hotel. That evolves into a discussion about whether casino gambling and sports betting should be legal in Kentucky. That discussion starts at the 6:00 mark.

Finally, we talk about restaurant food code violations. We just posted our quarterly list of these restaurants. We talk about the process of putting that story together and what inspectors our looking for when checking out local restaurants. That discussion starts at the 19:00 mark.

Access Louisville is a weekly podcast from Louisville Business First and LouisvilleBusinessFirst.com. This week the show is hosted by Digital Editor David A. Mann, Design/Multimedia Editor Brooke Timmons, Managing Editor Jason Thomas and Reporter Marty Finley.
