Our thoughts are far less stable than we believe. The forgetting curve, first introduced by German psychologist Hermann Ebbinghaus, reveals that we forget approximately 50% of new information within an hour, and up to 90% within a week, unless it is deliberately reinforced. Memory, once thought to be a reliable record of reality, is now understood as a reconstructive, highly malleable process—constantly edited by emotion, expectation, and context.

And when we realize our thoughts mean nothing, we begin to feel a spaciousness.A softness.A silence.

This lesson continues the process of loosening our grip on our current perceptions and judgments. It invites us to acknowledge that we do not truly understand what anything means — not the objects we see, the people we encounter, or the situations we're in.

Rather than interpreting things based on past experiences, the lesson guides us to recognize that our understanding is limited and conditioned, and thus often incorrect. Letting go of these assumptions creates space for true vision — a deeper, spiritual way of seeing, based on truth rather than illusion.

Everything in the universe is ultimately a state of consciousness.

In my latest episode, I interview Daniel Pinchbeck. Pinchbeck is a New York Times bestselling author, philosopher, and cultural critic known for his work on consciousness, psychedelics, and esoteric spirituality. He is the author of Breaking Open the Head, 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, and When Plants Dream, among other influential works. Pinchbeck has been a leading voice in the psychedelic renaissance. His ideas challenge modern perceptions of reality, urging us to expand our consciousness and rethink our relationship with the world.

In our conversation, we explore the esoteric realms of spirituality and consciousness through the lens of Rudolf Steiner’s teachings. In this episode of Human Be True, I explore Lesson 2 from A Course in Miracles: "I have given everything I see all the meaning that it has for me." What if the world around you isn’t as fixed as it seems, and the meaning you assign to people, family members, situations, and experiences is entirely within your control? The most exciting part of this episode for me to create for you was the meditation, beginning at 14:49. At first, I desired the meditation to be very zen. Perhaps one would listen while lying down in total relaxation. However, as the sound mixing and creation overtook my spirit, the vibe completely shifted into more of an energetic, hypnotic, tantric groove, with angelic and deep oceanic ambiance, chimes, peaceful bells, disco guitars, and electric pluck strings. So feel to groove to this one as you explore the depths of the awakening within your body. Listen to your body and what it has to tell you. Remember to breathe, to feel, and that everything you see has been given a particular meaning from centuries past that is either causing you pain, liberation, peace, emptiness, zen, love.. the list goes on. The choice is yours.

Music is the Medicine. I am absolutely smitten, fascinated, and enthralled with the beauty, power, and mysteries of sound and song. There are answers to the divine mystery of life, hidden in the Music. The answers you seek are within you, and the music is also within you. To access the revelation of music is simple - open your mouth and make a sigh. It is in the sigh that your body is telling you what it needs - through sound. This sound is ultimately a vibration, and vibration created our very existence. So perhaps, the remedy to all of the chaos of the human psyche and physical discomfort is through sound, singing, and vocal vibrational resonance.

Some indigenous cultures believe that certain diseases and mental illnesses can only be healed through song, prayer, and ceremony.

This, we have lost as a techno-optimist-manifesto society. Instead, we have been force-fed pharmaceutical prescriptions for a quick fix, not realizing that the pain or mental torment we are experiencing could perhaps be a deeper spiritual initiation, and only healed once the specific life lesson is learned. But we have bills to pay … so who has time for spiritual awakenings these days? What if we realized that LOVE, community, singing, art, and group communal living while sharing meals naked in the sunshine in nature could heal many of our mentally self-inflicted illnesses, and societally created deaths. We are a human species that longs for belonging, to be seen, heard, and valued in the essence of our true nature, and most importantly LOVED. The frequency of Love can heal even the most disturbed minds.

A way that humanity can relearn to love ourselves and one another is through music. Singing with another human being and playing with harmonizing tones and frequencies can allow us to see one another at the soul level. It is a form of play and radical self-expression. Singing with others is a very vulnerable experience. We have been taught our entire lives not to trust the sound that comes out of our mouths. So much so, that some women struggle to even moan in pleasure - even if it’s over a sushi dragon roll on a city balcony with lavender incense from the Amazon jungle watching the sunset. ;)

This version was recorded this morning on my iPhone during an impromptu improv jam session amid the calm before Hurricane Helene’s storms of heavy rains and fury. As we navigate the turbulence of our existence, let us remember that in music, we find the sacred balm that can soothe our souls and ignite the healing we all so desperately seek.

We give every object in our life meaning. But where does this meaning come from? This is a meditation series to help us perceive the objects in our world with neutrality, with the ultimate purpose of reprograming and repatterning our minds. We give every object meaning based on who gave the object to us, their cost, and what they do for us. However, what if we were toddlers seeing the world for the first time and had zero attachment to our surroundings? What would we be open to perceiving, accepting, believing? What would be true for us? What would we fear, if anything?

Because my nervous system has been taught to always be in a rush, to accomplish the task to complete a goal, or to be the most productive as possible and work hard now and relax later once everything in life has been accomplished and dominated… The pressure of life was my DOM and I was its little Sub b*tch, always asking permission, second-guessing my womb intuition and all-natural instincts that had been conditioned out of me when I was a child robot in the western school systems. To bring our dreams into the 3d reality we must shift our vibration to begin attracting people in alignment with our soul’s higher purpose and that also means being in a vibration that allows us to think differently than the old version of ourselves - creating a healthier mindset. Kundalini yoga is not a get rich quick fix. It is not marketing witchcraft to manipulate you to achieve that thing that you want most in your life. It’s ancient technnology using our natural breath, our voice, and sacred geometric body poses to reach higher states of enlightenment. What it did for me, was bring everything to the surface within myself that was painful, uncomfortable, hard, icky, gross, and toxic so that I could then release or transmute that energy and live my life as a clear channel. It brought me deeper into the mind/body connection. Our bodies hold infinite wisdom. Our bodies are Holy. Our bodies are our teachers. Our bodies give us the answers we need. The mind wants the body to stop to alleviate its pain. I have found that it is my WILL ALONE that will push me past my pain, and it is my WILL ALONE that will allow me to create my reality. The only battle I have is the battle of my mind with myself, my memories, my past, my fears, my anxiety of the future and my illusionary limitations every single day.

Kundalini taught me to face these limitations. Because my body was in pain during the kriyas, my mind began to realize the lies I tell myself that keep me comfortable and safe. When I was able to push past these, I was able to trust myself more deeply and make decisions from my own intuition - not the projected fears that live in my subconscious mind on a daily, hourly basis programmed into me from society. It became a complete nervous system reset. When I put my mind and body to the test of these kriyas, with mudras, mantras, chanting, breathwork, and drishtis - I begin to feel ALIVE, and everything that is not true - self limitations- left my auric and energetic field.

I was able to generate more income because Kundalini energy taught me to surpass the limitations and fears of my mind that are formed from traumatic memories stored in my body, passed down in a genetic code. That being said, my motivation, devotion to my truth and my purpose became heightened - allowing me to not be distracted by any drama that was holding me back. The result - I ultimately generated more income.

Living a holy life is simple: connect to your body. Your body carries infinite wisdom. Your body is holy. Your body is a holy temple. Your body is to be a vessel of energy, pleasure, and a vibration of love - not a body of disassociation, numbed out from medication, confused from overstimulation, and not a body of pain, ridden with disease or illness, and certainly not a body of sin. I learned today from an Ifa priest that the only true sin is not being in connection to your authentic self. What is the authentic self? The authentic self is the person who was incarnated in this life for this time and place reality for this specific reason. There is reason and order for everything. Even your birth.

The psychosomatic effect that the mind has on the body and the body has on the mind is one of life or death. Which will you choose? Thoughts that are slowly killing you? Thoughts that generate energy toward a slow, laborious death from bitterness, resentment, anger, hatred, and fear? Or thoughts that carry life force energy? What we give our attention to grows. Our thoughts can cause illness, especially autoimmune disorders - diseases that doctors have no idea how they have originated. Deeply rooted fear, worry, unresolved anger, grief, bitterness etc. will manifest as disease in the body.

OR we can choose thoughts that will plant the seeds of hope, thoughts that will move you toward a conscious being that pursues love, pleasure (not addiction), joy, bliss, and freedom.

Sometimes I wonder why humans even go through any wretched emotional process at all. In a sense, our emotions are just feelings that get in the way of us being productive machines contributing to the GDP… just kidding- but emotions take up so much of our ENERGY, and yet, no one is talking about how to control our ENERGY in the body. How do we utilize our energy? How do we heal the body with energy? How do we shift our vibration energetically to change our thought patterns so that they are thoughts that help us instead of harm us?

As I write this, my fibromyalgia is coming back. I feel the burning sensation in my wrists, arms and ankles. As a former christian, I used to believe that I must repent and ask for forgiveness for disobeying god and not following his every command. So I do have a fear that, perhaps, I have gone too far down the rabbit hole and experienced so much earthly hell and physical discomfort because I walked away from “Him.” But how silly - I can never walk away from what is Holy because we, ourselves, are Holy. To live in this body is a Holy heavenly experience. It is the mind and our belief systems that cause it to not be so. One can never be separated from God or the divine, because one is divinity, you are divine, we are divine. To be separated from God is to be separated from oneself. It is a separation of soul, body, and mind. To be in reconciliation with God is to be in reconciliation with ourselves. To do this, we must forgive ourselves, accept our past, be grateful for the present, practice living peacefully with other humans along our path, and develop the skills to fall truly, madly, deeply, in love with ourselves. The greatest act of divinity - that I am learning in this time and space reality - is to love oneself - and in loving the self, one can finally understand and learn to love others. Divinity is to nurture the body. It is to be in a Holy divine union with ourselves. Love is a union- union of mind, body, and spirit. This is harmony and harmony is a symphonic rhythm of homeostasis. Homeostasis is how humans survive.

In essence, living a Holy life is about reconnecting with your true self—learning to love yourself, your body, mind, and spirit working in harmony to bring homeostasis and inner peace to ourselves and the world.
