Moses came down from Mount Sinai with 10 Commandments for the children of Israel. Someone has written the 10 Commandments for Human Relations.
1. Speak to people. There is nothing as cheerful as a word of greeting.
2. Smile at people. It takes 72 muscles to frown, only 14 to smile.
3. Call people by name. The sweetest music to many ears is the sound of one’s own name.
4. Be friendly and helpful. If you would have friends, you must be friendly.
5. Be cordial. Show genuine pleasure in dealing with others.
6. Have a genuine interest in people. It shows.
7. Be generous with praise — cautious with criticism.
8. Be considerate of feelings of others.
9. Be thoughtful of the opinion of others.
10. Be alert to give service. What we do for others is very important.

Long ago, Jesus said, “In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” (Mt. 7:12).
